Hotlapper of The Week - Nozomi (nozomimi Karu)

This week for our Hotlapper of The Week, I interviewed Nozomi with some help from SachBee translating for me and Nozomi :). Thank you very much SachBee for making this possible.

We love that you are hotlapping with us!

Ginger Henderson: How did your interest with sailing in Second Life begin?
Nozomi (nozomimi Karu): Seeing my friends who were sailing,  I got interested in sailboats.

Ginger: We seen you sail in some Hotlaps. What do you enjoy about them?
Nozomi: It is to be able to sail a lot of laps with many sailboats.  It's fun in a very exciting way for me.

Ginger: Do you have any changes you would like to do with Hotlaps?
Nozomi: Remain as it is now, I have been very satisfied.

Ginger: What time-zone in Real Life are you from?
Nozomi:  Japan here, 16 hours earlier than Second Life time.

Ginger: Do you sail in Real Life as well? (But we understand if you say 'none of your business' ;))
Nozomi: In RL, I'm not good at sports, even riding a bicycle lol.

Ginger: What are your top 3 favorite sailboats in Second Life?
Nozomi: 1, Trudeau 12M  2, ACA33    3, Shields

Ginger: We seen you sailing mostly the Trudeau 12M.  Been sailing this boat for long?
Nozomi: Yeah. I bought 12M on the day of she was released. On the maiden voyage of my 12M, it was very fun, I forgot to spend time RL, I was sailing through the night.

Ginger: Besides Hotlaps, do you practice with sailing a lot?
Nozomi: Yes, I am participating in races at Waypoint Yacht Club every week.

Ginger: When sailing, do you use any tools or settings to help you you may want to share with others? Things such as your preferred AWA on different headings and tactical choices on this weeks course like where to start from, where to tack etc?
Nozomi: I am using the USB-HUD. When I sail, I strategize without thinking too much. I go with intuition.

Ginger: What question would you want added to this interview? So we can ask the next sailor for you.
Nozimi: I don't have question that I want to add to this interview.
I want to hear why everyone is sailing very fast.

Ginger: Any other things you would like to share with others?
Nozimi: I can speak English a little. I feel that it is rude to everyone that I have trouble communicating in English. I apologize to you about this. I love sailing in the same way as everyone. From now, I want to enjoy sailing along with a lot of people.

Ginger: Thank you very much for your time for this interview and looking forward to seeing you on the Second Life waters soon.  :)
